Through the efforts of local associations the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association is the largest veterans' support and community service organisation committed to making a difference to the lives of Veterans and helping the Armed Forces community and families get the support they deserve.
The Wellington Returned and Services Association is one of many local Associations that supports those who served New Zealand through the generations.
We remember and respect those who have sacrificed for our nation and recognise those who have served in recent conflicts and who still serve today.

When we are young we never imagine ourselves as needing support because, for most, we can get work and have few medical or other challenges.
In life circumstances change and because you have served the nation your community wants to help when you need it.
We don’t know your needs unless you are connected with us. Once we know you we can help you get back on your feet or to provide dignity to the life you choose to lead.
You are kept informed of the many ways that the RSA participates with and assists you and your comrades.

Becoming a member is the ultimate way to give your support – you don’t have to be a Veteran to join and make a difference.

Poppy Day is a time when the nation recognises those who have served the nation and the need to support the welfare and wellbeing of them and their families.
Through our commemorative services we help New Zealanders remember those who have and those who continue to serve the nation.
